St. John’s five-star skilled nursing community, Stollwood, offers short-stay rehabilitation and long-term custodial care. Nursing home services include physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and specialized consultations with pharmacy and dietary consultants. Our staff is highly skilled in caring for those who require post-surgical, post-stroke, or wound care. Each patient has a personalized care plan that keeps their individual needs, safety, and comfort in mind.
Rehabilitation Services and Treatment
- St. John's rehabilitation services focus on strengthening and mobility after orthopedic procedures such as total hip and knee replacements.
- Post-stroke care focuses on potential neurological disorders affecting ambulation or transfers, activities of daily living, and/or swallowing difficulties.
- Rehabilitation services utilize modalities for pain management such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and TENS units, as well as whirlpool therapy to assist with wound care recovery.
Multiple levels of care are available on campus, giving residents the opportunity to move to lower levels of retirement care as their condition improves.

Referrals and Payment Options
Referrals from area hospitals are received on a daily basis and reviewed for admission. Hospital or physician referrals are required for admission.
