Get ready to mark your calendars because Rhythm & Ribs is back – and this year, it's extra special! We're celebrating 60 years of St. John's Retirement Village being a cherished haven for seniors in Yolo County, and we want you to join the party!

Join us for an unforgettable evening under the stars on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM at St. John's Village (135 Woodland Ave, Woodland).

An Evening of Delicious Food, Great Music, and Celebration!

Prepare for an evening brimming with joy, delicious treats, and fantastic entertainment:

Reception on the Green: We'll kick off the festivities on the putting green with a delightful reception featuring locally sourced wine and beer paired perfectly with an array of delectable appetizers.
Sounds of Little Wing: Next, we'll whisk you away to our newly renovated Lodge for more tantalizing appetizers and the smooth sounds of Little Wing .
Dinner Under the Stars: Finally, prepare for a truly magical dining experience as we gather around one long table under the stars. Savor mouthwatering ribs and more, expertly prepared by Zamora's very own Bryan Riley , all while being serenaded by the enchanting melodies of Stone's Throw .

This milestone celebration isn't just about looking back; it's also a chance to glimpse the exciting future of St. John's. We'll be showcasing the incredible accomplishments we've achieved for our beloved seniors, all made possible by our generous sponsors and amazing volunteers. Plus, get a sneak peek at the highly anticipated 2026 reopening of the Lodge and the Memory Care Manors!

Thank you to the family of William (Bill) Lockett and

Marjorie H. Benner for your generous donation

to Save St. John’s.

“Please accept this donation in my dad’s name, William (Bill) P. Lockett. Dad started in the Stollwood Convalescent Hospital at the height of the pandemic in 2020. Luckily, he had very slight COVID symptoms and came through with flying colors.

Due to Parkinson’s disease and wheelchair bound with some memory issues – he was placed into the Memory Care section. Upon the “closure,” we transferred him to Gloria’s Country Care. Papa passed away at 91 on April 10, 2022.

Papa was a hardworking farmer in the Sutter Basin. Married to Jean Lockett for 67 years, raised five children, and had a wonderful busy life. His biggest passion was traveling all over the world; supporting the various farm organizations (Sutter Basin Co-op, Cal Aggies; and watching his grandson and great-grandson grow up.

My Grandma, Marjorie H. Benner, was a resident of St. John’s many years ago. There is a plaque with her name by the door of her apartment where she first lived. As a patient of Alzheimer’s disease, she progressed through the various stages of care, eventually passing away at Stollwood Convalescent Care.

St. John’s took excellent care of my family and I am so relieved to have the knowledge it will be around for later generations.”

“We have a tradition in our church that in the month of December we pick one organization we give to, and it’s called Give Christmas Away. This year it was brought to my attention by members in our church, who have volunteered at St. John’s Retirement Village , that they were attempting to re-open.

Unanimously our staff and elders were excited about supporting and helping the campus reopen.”
